The jewelry looks like mala beads. Mala beads are widely used as a tool for meditation. In the meditation community, a guru is someone who guides your spiritual journey. This bracelet will do the same, as it will give very subtle vibrations to remind the user to meditate. This will detach users from their phone, which is a very distracting device that can detract from the user’s peaceful moment. It is also subtle enough that users can feel comfortable using it in the workplace. The beautiful mala design is also a visual reminder to users of their spiritual journey. This bracelet not only enhances the Gayiti experience, it is a great business opportunity for the client as users invest money into the bracelet and freely advertise to their friends. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551381257384-WN0PUJSS8RXPNI6CF1KP/lotus-flower.png Gayiti https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551484502281-MI6P90PM2G8DH77BAGYC/Journaling+Screen+Gayiti+Portfolio.png Gayiti - Journaling Writing as a tool for self reflection and meditation was a recurring theme we found across many of our users during interviews. It was also something we came across during field research, seeing many “gratitude journals” and “happiness journals” being sold at the meditation studio. Gayiti’s journaling page provides prompts to help people in their daily reflections. For example, “Today I am grateful for ...[fill in the blank].” Gayiti also differentiates itself from other journaling tools with its Gratitude Pool. This is fun way to quickly add a short entry about what the user is grateful that day via a quick link on the homepage. This Gratitude Pool will accommodate users who lack the time for a full journal entry, answering the “time” issue shown in research. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551484052418-VQQ7471CUY28GUH8S71J/GPS+Feature+Gayiti+Portfolio.png Gayiti - GPS Capabilites Gayiti aims to habitualize meditation for our users by using a GPS enabled push system. This differentiates Gayiti from other time-based reminders by personalizing reminders based on where the user is at the moment. In addition, Gayiti uses anticipatory technology to learn which reminders work best for the users through a short questionnaire after every meditation. Gayiti truly respects that every user is a human being with a varying schedule day-to-day. A reminder to meditate at 6pm every day is easily snoozed, as it is not always a good time. In contrast, a reminder to meditate when someone is about to get into work, or has been sitting stationary for a while, is far more useful. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551484971415-8SISFP4C5QJGBEZYJ2DN/Points%3A+Accountability+Screen+Gayiti+Portfolio.png Gayiti - Accountability Our research showed that people felt they needed to be held accountable in order to keep up with their meditations, as intrinsic motivation is not always enough to prioritize self-care. Gayiti holds people accountable with a point system. Users gain points for meditation, writing in their journal, or writing an entry into the Gratitude Pool. In the future, we hope to team up with meditation studios and offer users rewards (such as a free studio class) when they gain high points. Gayiti also upholds a streak system. Many meditators have a goal to meditate 40 days in a row. Seeing their streak and where they are every day will give users the motivation to keep it up and not break a high streak. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551487043821-SG8242AXVRWRTWKCGCH2/Usability+Testing+Results+Gayiti+Portfolio.jpg Gayiti Usability testing results showed huge improvements from the first round to the last. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1554145380553-DJMJOQAHGCDOF0W5N6I6/Gayiti_Bruce+User+Journey+cropped.png Gayiti https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1554145380558-NW8XJK3CTI3E1Z7A1HVL/Gayiti_Lilac+User+Journey+cropped.png Gayiti https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1554145342076-4YF8MM1XHQFMM5UB1N88/Bruce+Persona+Cropped.png Gayiti https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1554145341965-GS3K64BZDYZ1M64MX3HW/Lily+Persona+Cropped.png Gayiti https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551485415244-B050SWYJR6UEYESO6P2P/Sharing+Community+Screen+Gayiti+Portfolio.png Gayiti - Community During our first round of interviews regarding lifestyle, we found that many of our users enjoyed yoga and meditation so much because of the strong, uplifting community they found in it. We did not want to lose this when creating an application to use by oneself. Therefore, we included a feature to allow users to share things like meditations or songs they enjoy to social media or messaging. Users can also share their points, which will create a lightly competitive air to further hold users accountable in their spiritual journey. Gayiti also allows users to tune into live meditation sessions with a wider community on certain dates. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551489616153-QDN4ZDIYF5F9X8XK25Z2/Home+Screen+Gayti+Portfolio.png Gayiti - Gayiti An advanced meditation app with GPS abilities, bluetooth capability, and anticipatory technology https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551482546634-9L7HWP73HFBHQTPQXHF3/Comp+Analysis+Gayiti+Portfolio.jpg Gayiti https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551381718591-BSHMQWG0BOXWUOG7DGO2/lotus-flower.png Gayiti https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1553101955480-AQVZL8KV6MT6U1JUCRXT/IMG_1321.jpg Gayiti https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551387951993-38Z9PLL3HH968SE25LS6/image-asset.jpeg Gayiti - Field Research https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551383158738-C4A9E5U4PYBZEFBR549H/lotus-flower+%282%29.png Gayiti https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1551383261161-49QIZRE07OY3UN4AUQJO/lotus-flower+%282%29.png Gayiti https://grouse-krill-7nk6.squarespace.com/ga-social-swipe daily 0.75 2019-03-19 https://grouse-krill-7nk6.squarespace.com/website-redesign-quick-read daily 0.75 2019-03-19 https://grouse-krill-7nk6.squarespace.com/lyft-feature-integration-quick-read daily 0.75 2019-03-19 https://grouse-krill-7nk6.squarespace.com/work-1 daily 0.75 2020-08-04 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1567189084576-89ER2CM7S003RY3IRV8W/Zurutto+Mockup.png Work ORiginal - Zurutto Website Redesign A mobile responsive website UX/UI redesign for a popular NYC ramen restaurant. First Ideation Sketches During this sketching session I had included too much design for social media (future iterations), and had to cut this down for my next round of ideas https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1575397274611-EQ66CFSJB3GFYAMC9063/Fabe%2BHomepage%2Bwireframe.jpg Fabe - Home Page Sketch In this iteration I cut down the features to only include browsing of Actions in the Fabe Library. I utilized a horizontal scroll, getting inspiration from addictive and fun products like Netflix and Yelp https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1575397337249-TP7UFJMCQ5U9CEJW0XWI/Fabe%2BJourney%2BPage%2BIteration%2B2.jpg Fabe - Journey Page Sketch In this sketch I had the Journey Page include two sections: a dashboard for stats visualization and an Activity Feed. The Activity Feed allows for an easy transition to a newsfeed when the app becomes social. For now, it only shows a personal chronological view of actions taken. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1575400155826-R2XHGPI4SO86W2VHZENV/Home+Page+1st+time.jpg Fabe https://grouse-krill-7nk6.squarespace.com/the-lighthouse daily 0.75 2021-04-02 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1582661794459-V6ZQXFCU7YQ48XW2FICR/thelighthouse+User+Persona.jpg The Lighthouse User Persona showing Corey S., an average user of TheLighthouse. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1599093255873-TM3WXUGO2M8M2T88L2KX/Lighoutse+Lofi+Onboarding+1.1.JPG The Lighthouse https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1599093255482-REN63BSWP7HSENPE6LCW/Lighthouse+Lofi+Onboarding+1.2.JPG The Lighthouse https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1599093310399-Y5ZBVKH1N66ELBB4IKD3/Lighthouse%2BLofi%2BOnboarding%2B1.3.jpg The Lighthouse https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1599093327929-ZZK30A7A2E4SJJRPBQQ1/Lighthouse%2BLofi%2BOnboarding%2B1.3b.jpg The Lighthouse https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1599093354596-ZP107JR7X37I9VF9Q3Q8/Lighthouse%2BLofi%2BOnboarding%2B1.3c.jpg The Lighthouse https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1582937760146-GKBX4V1RF8YZOI34V98G/lighthouse+hifi+onboarding+example%402x.png The Lighthouse Final high fidelity onboarding screen designs. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1582915899766-KS4C9X44M1GWJ10RLZJU/Mid+Fi+Onboarding+screens+1%2C2.png The Lighthouse Two mid fidelity designs to demonstrate value of TheLighthouse during onboarding. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1582823897974-4WK7JC3RRY8FQ9PQ88II/TheLighthouse+Usability+Scenario.png The Lighthouse Image showing the scenario, task, and questions given during A/B testing. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1582825926492-BZUQ6FYKYB3EB6F6XZ40/CQ+Part+1%402x.png The Lighthouse Page letting user know what to expect during Part I of Career Quiz. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1582913927624-9EVKDUBOAZZI33MIPF9F/Mid+Fi+Onboarding+Options.jpg The Lighthouse Four mid fidelity options for tutorial-type onboarding. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5c75e76b0490795384c0effb/1582823944920-YRBWU7B9RD5RG6XM8NYM/Booking+Form%402x.jpg The Lighthouse Example of Option B redesign.
